Touch? Touch is the first sense to delevop really? I never really thought about it but I didn't think touch would be the first.

I'm amazed at what has to happen in the brain even before birth. It makes all of our interactions with infants so important.

I am amazed at how fast there little braind are working in the first years of life. Like 50% wired before they even statt school.

I am astonished by how amazing our brains are. Was also helpful to learn how our brain continues to grow and that we are born with most of the neurons we need at birth. Fascinating! Shannon T

I am absalutely amazed at the complexity and beauty of our brains and I wish I had learnt more about this years ago. 'At birth, almost all the neurons that the brain will ever have are present' - Wow children are amazingly little individuals with limitless potential. we really need to harness that and grow our children.

So my questions are why is not more done in the schools, to further development and growth in all areas. If a child up to a certain age can learn things and grasp them at ease, why not teach as much as we can. Children are little sponges. Are they soaking up the right information. Just think how much more they could achieve once older, having learnt more than what we are teaching now.

Some schools, the better schools do a great deal to help children in these areas.

It is amazing of how the brain develops so fast. So if this is the case we should beable to teach these little ones many things

Brain development directly after birth is the most important. I remember reading that cats who had no visual stimulation as kittens remained blind. Human brains work a lot of the same way, I think.

I enjoy being a part of early child brain develpment. That is the most important job to have.
